Forget the standard flowers and chocolate. This Valentine’s, it seems people fell in love with natural and organic goodness of all kinds. We felt the love — for our partners, families, communities, planet and even ourselves — all month long.

Let’s keep the love going with some of our favorite web finds from February:

  1. Sometimes, we express self-love through an indulgence. The sheer volume of decadent recipes on every food blog we visited leading up to Valentine’s Day made us appreciate when Kid Kritics combined three of our favorite treats in their Strawberry Cheesecake Cocoa Brownies.
  2. Fortunately, self-love isn’t restricted to sweet treats. Our friends at WholeGreenLove created a homemade body scrub with sweet orange and macadamia oil for a hydrating and brightening home spa treat that is particularly welcome as winter days drag on.
  3. When it comes to loving the environment, buying in bulk is one action you can take to reduce waste. Earth 911 walked us through the basics in their article “Everything You Need to Know About Buying in Bulk.
  4. Loving the earth, our food system and the people who support it was the theme of a Huffington Post article, “Sustainability: Going Beyond the Buzz.” The author challenged us with asking tough questions about what sustainability actually means for our food system.

How did you indulge in self-love or love the environment this February?
